Wait, what? Why?
apparently, PS4s encrpyt hard drives. soooo, that means that in order to use one that's been previously used, you have to wipe it first. :|
It’s surprisingly easy to do
you can’t. like, you literally can’t just swap drives. the old one is encrypted.
Yeah, it's dumb. Now imagine backing up your Bloodborne save to the cloud and having it get corrupted upon swapping drives... Then your ethernet port stops working. That's why I no longer own a PS4. haha
yeah right guy, that’s just an excuse to play more bloodborne.
External HDD is the way to go these days. That’s what I did when I upgraded to a PS4 Pro. I went with a 4TB it was around $110-120.
Oh shit, like not compatible or just that you can’t just swap it from the old one into the new one?
It’s unfortunate, but either need to back up the original to an external HDD or if both systems function and the destination console has enough room, do a network transfer through ethernet
You can back it up to an external drive. (which you should have no problem getting your hands on), then just drop the drive in, and restore from the external. Long process but doable
