And yet, when you search for ALL of those games on metacritic, the ONLY ONE that has a user score of less than ‘5’ is TLOU2... if you’re going to tell a community to shut up, at least make an accurate point. Sales are not representative of quality, obviously.pic.twitter.com/2uPqZuzpxw

Review bombing from people who didn’t play the game is not representative of quality, obviously.

Well, the score increased by roughly 50%, which in my opinion isn’t slight - but that’s the whole thing with review bombing, when there’s such a massive influx of low scores (almost no AAA game is legitimately a 1 or 0) it’s hard to dig out of.

I have no doubt a huge number of those reviews, if not the vast majority, came from people who didn’t beat, or in some cases didn’t even play, the game. I have no problem if someone beat it and gave it a low score - but that’s largely not what’s happening here.

You have no way of corroborating that just like I have no way to prove the opposite. You’ve effectively moved the goal post. However the original argument stands: why would anyone tell someone to shut their opinions up when there is such clear evidence of a problem?

I don’t even understand what the problem IS in this instance. “Go woke go broke” is in reference to sales, not fan reception. I played the game, loved it. There’s a vocal minority who hated the game before it came out because if its “wokeness,” but clearly sales weren’t hurt.

But Zach said nothing about quality? You brought that up.

good games and bad games sell well, no one’s arguing that.
