‘ANDOR’ Season 2 is still continuing production. Tony Gilroy is not on set but he is still working as a producer on non-writing elements.

I had a weird childhood and can't see myself being a parent. So I don't think kids are in the cards for me.

Maybe it's basic but my cat Pancho. He's been with me through so much and there were years that he was the only thing keeping me going.

Finishing the week by sending off a new #1 script and approving the first batch of colors on a new creator-owned book. Making comics never gets old. 💜🙌

I'll also say that just because you enjoy a thing in your leisure time doesn't mean it's fun when you're on the clock

ppl who work "dream jobs" in creative industries like games or comics or animation still deserve living wages bc a job being fun does not mean you don't need to eat anymore

the current strain of anti-creativity seems to be based on the premise that creative thought and labor is calculable and can be turned into a formula, when it is in fact the closest thing to magic that we have in this world

The proper language is “This cancellation or failure in my favorite show Happened bc studios won’t support writers” Not that it happened “because of the strike” and I also need to get better at remembering that

After spending the last two years adapting my own work, I'm finally working on an adaptation of someone else's material and I really love it.

Last year, 8 Hollywood CEOs made nearly $800 million, yet pay for TV writers has fallen by 23 percent over the last 10 years. I stand with the nearly 12,000 writers on strike for a fair contract.

Keep in mind they will choose you right now bc they think they can under pay you & steal compensation for your labor. They aren’t going to treat you better than union writers
And if they pretend to (they offer money money), it’s so they can screw your & others over later

Comics writers — no matter how stoked you are to work on media projects, if you’re solicited to do development work right now, you’re being asked to scab.
This burns every team you want to work with, and your own future with them. Cite the strike, say no, and be patient.

It's interesting as a comic book writer to see the existential threat of this strike being that writing will be pushed into a "gig" job where profits are consolidated at the top and barely anyone can make a living practising their craft.
There's a lesson there, I think.

The first 40 mins of Beau is Afraid are the scariest stuff I've seen put to screen this year. Good movie.

I'm incredibly proud of how transparent our union is. In the 's strike announcement, we included a list of our proposals, and the AMPTP's responses. Read it for yourself: it explains in black and white we're forced to go on strike.

1) Something (very stupid) you’re going to see over the next weeks are people arguing that screenwriters are being unreasonable. “Times have changed”. No. Times WERE changed. By SOMEBODY. By PEOPLE, making CHOICES.

Better deals for creatives means a healthier industry for all. Writers who are compensated fairly make better art and have more time to focus on their craft.
