These types of weather patterns can allow tremendous amounts of heat and moisture to push into the Arctic. As a result, it can briefly approach freezing in the most anomalous events.

Yes! These warm air events transport quite a lot of moisture (compared to normal) into the Arctic and can enhance precipitation, especially right at the edge of the sea ice cover.
