Leaving Afro-Latinx out of a production about the Latinx community is like trying to drive a car without an engine. And the fact that this isn't Chu's first offense when dealing with colorism in his movies lets me know that this wasn't an accident. He knew what he was doing.
I believe Lin-Manuel when he says he will do better moving forward. I will continue to support him in his career, looking for that "better" he promises because I truly believe in him.
However, I will NO LONGER watch anything Chu is involved in. The man has shown us more than once who he is. Time for us to take his word for it.
