Israel has obligations to the civilian population in Gaza under international law. It systematically fails to uphold those obligations, works to counter them and rejects their existence all together.

Israel wants to create the impression that Gaza is some sort of separate entity. Journalists who play along with this notion aide an abet the very violations of international humanitarian law Israel is guilty of in Gaza.

It’s a barrier, not a border. Israeli forces cross at will & control territory on the other side. They control all access to and exit from Gaza, along w movement of capital and energy. Hamas has civilian control over cordoned-off, occupied territory. This is apartheid policing.
