    What does ancient history have to do with today's consumption patterns? We don't really gather anymore either, people do their hunting in stores or via delivery, and the animals come predominantly from CAFOs where 1000s of them are confined cruelly and unnaturally.

    That's not sustainable either, look at what happened in the UK and eu. One long hot summer and animals were killed early bc the grass was too dry. How can something be sustainable if you can't feed it.
