    It would be like a new world.

    If the world replaced all oil based energy sources with clean energy today, the world could be likely saved and Saudi Arabia would cease to exist. A win / win.

    People staning for Canada in the Saudi Arabia spat are even more obnoxious than the Saudi's pretending to care about first nations. The truth is Canada owns 70% of the world's resource corporations which also lead in human rights violations world wide and are killing the planet.

    Recently I had a frustrating encounter with which I'll be writing more about. The editor of this venerable institution—which had given platform to a Syria truther—told me accountability in journalism is not a "compelling" notion & genocide denial not a disqualifying offence.

    If you used your platform to spread the racist lie that the white helmets are al Qaeda you helped provide propaganda cover to genocide and you helped get rescue workers killed. A public apology and retraction is the absolute least you could do

    We're underpaid, overworked and routinely attacked, not just on Twitter my psychopaths but by both state and non-state actors that want us killed or arrested for doing our jobs. All the while wants us to waste our free time debating liars.

    Journalists report facts, it's not their job to rebut every insane conspiracy theory that's dreamed up as a counter-narrative. We're collectively getting dumber b/c the reality-based 1/2 of the world is being asked to fact-check the fantastical half, at expense of new knowledge.
