Like many others, we were upset by the video that was shared last week.

Suicide is not a joke, nor should it ever be a driving force for views. As Anna Akana put it perfectly: "That body was a person someone loved. You do not walk into a suicide forest with a camera and claim mental health awareness."

We expect more of the creators who build their community on
@YouTube, as we’re sure you do too. The channel violated our community guidelines, we acted accordingly, and we are looking at further consequences.Show this thread -
It’s taken us a long time to respond, but we’ve been listening to everything you’ve been saying. We know that the actions of one creator can affect the entire community, so we’ll have more to share soon on steps we’re taking to ensure a video like this is never circulated again.

You acted accordingly? Did you?
-
I sincerely hope the context of this is that "Logan was given a strike" rather than "we handled the situation properly the entire time".
-
Even if they gave him a single strike I still don’t think that they acted “accordingly.”
-
YT needs to stop being ambiguous about issues and actually invest in their platform and the communities curated through it

I didnt like what Logan did but deleting his channel would stop kids from visiting YT and watching ads so it probably won't happen
-
you know there are other Youtubers out there the kids can watch. He doesn't drive the views.
-
I won't disagree but he's channel that has around 15 million subscribers and most of them are children that don't watch other youtubers
-
Um excuse me have you seen jacksepticeye? Markiplier? They have more than him and are doing GOOD , kids watch them. Jack even hosted a charity live stream event to raise awareness and mark donated also Logan is a piece of shite and gives kids a bad impression
-
Jack and Mark are wonderful people, but they do swear a lot, so most parents wouldn't agree that they're "kid-friendly."
-
And Jake Paul said the N word and Logan showed a suicide victim That’s not kid friendly

-
Sure, those two are terrible role models for children. But the thing is, to a parent who spends about 5 minutes reviewing a channel, those two *superficially* seem kid-friendly, because they don't swear (to my knowledge).
-
Mark and Jack's charity, morals, determination, etc. aren't seen in a 5-minute review, which is really unfortunate.
