Just dig up some Nokias from a landfill.
It's pretty easy to make FPGA-based dumbphones (soft-core CPUs & everything) impenetrable for the NSA etc. The q is whom to trust with this.

old dumb phones don't encrypt what you say. An FPGA dumbphone could and there's nothing to backdoor.
