      The industry tends to eschew the holistic approach in favor of the fucker approach. Let's design the product for security? - no. Much better to designate some fucker as the responsible for security. Meanwhile, product development marches on.

      Any designated domain fucker is perceived as not directly driving sales. And knowing that you're perceived as not driving sales is rarely hard - they'll tell you in not so subtle ways.

      I did say "perceived." To determine what's going on is often hard, but people still form simple stories telling what's going on, and these stories are usually well-known and not very numerous.
