  1. For everyone planning trips to experience Horsetail Fall, should conditions require it for pedestrian safety the exit from Yosemite Valley (Northside Drive at Camp 4) may close from about 5 pm to 6 pm tonight, Saturday, and Sunday.

  7. Badger Pass Road tentatively opens on Monday, February 8. The Badger Pass Ski Area is not operating. Wawona Road (continuation of Highway 41) tentatively opens Thursday, February 11. Mariposa Grove remains closed until further notice.

  11. Yosemite will reopen, pending reopening of Highway 140, on Monday, February 1, 2021. Highway 140, which is currently closed due to a rockslide outside the park, is anticipated to open by Monday morning. The only access to the park will be via Highway 140.

  12. A significant Mono wind event occurred in Yosemite National Park on 1/19/21. The winds caused damage to facilities throughout the park, but especially in the southern area of the park and in the Mariposa Grove. There is currently no timeline for when the grove will reopen.

  17. Upper Pines Campground will open on February 8. Yosemite Valley Lodge and The Ahwahnee will open on February 5. Visitors will be able to enter the park using El Portal Road (Highway 140), Big Oak Flat Road (Highway 120 from the west), and Hetch Hetchy Road.

  18. Yosemite will remain closed at least until Saturday, January 30. Park staff continue to work toward restoring safe conditions after last week's Mono wind event. When the park reopens, it will be open 24 hours a day. Areas south of Yosemite Valley will remain closed.

  20. Yosemite National Park will remain closed at least until Tuesday, January 26, as a result of damage to park facilities caused by this week’s Mono wind event.

    An incense-cedar fell through a house in Wawona during the Mono wind event on January 19, 2021. (Multiple houses were damaged during the storm.)
