That sounds like a good idea to have the original guy, but could we really imagine him doing full lines for an entire film with that voice? That doesn't seem like it would translate well. All we usually get is single words and grunts. Like Link lol.

He did a whole bunch of dialogue for Mario's Game Gallery and the CD-ROM version of Mario Teaches Typing. And those were his earliest voiceovers as Mario.

If he shows up as Wario, that would be better for him.

I wish to god that producers would stop using big name "camera talent" for voice work when you have professionals able and willing to do it. "Camera talent" almost always suck ass when doing pure voice work.

He's getting older and won't be able to voice him forever. Not to mention, Miyamoto created the actual character and at the end of the day, he has the final say. I created literally no Mario characters, Miyamoto has more of a say than any of us.

Tbf Miyamoto is also getting older and if the Paper Mario series is anything to go by he's decisions sometimes really aren't the best when it comes to the audience. I do agree it's his decision at the end of the day...pic.twitter.com/vmZeV73avN
