there are TINY little changes brought in from the devs but on the whole, no noticeable changes.

Should I get this bundle or wait until gamemaker 2 is in a bundle? I don't want to get this and find out very soon that it's obsolete :(

It's not, don't worry. 1.4 has support until 31/07/18 but you can keep making games on the software waaaaaaaaaay past then!
