Keeping coconut husk helps retain moisture for long

Oh wow. I didn’t know this. Sounds super easy too. You just insert the husk entirely into the soil? Ya aur kuch karna hai?

Hi Aditi, the coconut husk idea is good. You can also buy cocopeat and mix it in the soil next time. What one of my neighbours used to do is fill empty plastic/milk packets with water and poke small holes in them with a pin and leave it in a way that the drops fell in the pot.

Hey, the coconut husk thing sounds the most feasible to me right now. Because, as I said, plastic bottles won’t be feasible considering the number of plants. And milk packets are flimsy, there are just too many pigeons over this particular window.

Oh my!! The reason I never have plants

Hehe, I totally get what you are saying. Thankfully, I live with parents. It’s not very usual that the 4 of us travel together. So, it’s not so much of an issue until now.

Sounds good. I may need a tub as big as a bathroom tub, in this case
I have so many plants.
But on a serious note, I have a few fragile plants. I can keep them in a small tub, and the coconut husk in the rest. Thanks for this :) - Još 1 odgovor

What are you growing? Most plants should be fine for 4-5 days!
