Senior WHO official Dr Bruce Aylward is asked about Taiwan's epidemic performance and WHO membership. He first pretends not to hear, then when the question is repeated, he hangs up. When called back, he terminates the interview

He wouldn't even discuss what the "de facto" authorites in Taiwan have done? Coward.
It's possible to do that without officially recognising a government or whilst maintaining abiguity.
International orgs. does it all the time in warzones, frozen conflicts etc.
