    This is devastating but unfortunately a trend we are seeing across the board nb UK’s anti refugee bill. The answer must be shared responsibility and safe routes not detention, criminalisation and deaths. We have to be better than this.

    Just when you thought we'd hit rock bottom. Today's proposal to allow Poland, Latvia & Lithuania to systematize violations of people's rights at their borders is a new low.

    Not only is the Govt's Bill dismantling the system of protection est for those seeking safety & instead criminalising them, it is trying to avert Parliamentary scrutiny of the horrific Bill by tabling an unheard of 80 amendments at this late stage in the Parliamentary process.

    Today the Government has tabled 80 amendments to its own , after line-by-line scrutiny + just 3 sitting days before report stage. It’s a disgrace + makes a mockery of Parliamentary scrutiny. I’ve written to the raising my grave concerns:
