Very happy to share this preprint from my main PhD project. We performed wide-field calcium imaging on animals solving both auditory and tactile discrimination tasks with a delay. Many thanks to , , Balazs Laurenczy and Fabian Voigt .

I’ll be certainly reading it. Very interesting aspect of learning, now available to explore with current technology

In the past 2 years, 4 of her students have left her lab and one has committed suicide. When one of the students complained about her to the director of the PhD program, he asked, do you think others feel the same? He was trying to blame the student for coming forward.

I was deciding how and when I would share this but since I replied to another thread, I would like to also share it with all my followers who have constantly supported me. In the past few weeks I have left my first postdoc lab. I am not ready to discuss all the details

In Sept, 2017 I and seven other plaintiffs filed a complaint with the EEOC about illegal retaliatory behavior taken by the University of Rochester against us in our roles as whistleblowers about well-known sexual harassment in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences department.

Here is the report. "Professor 1" took explicit steps, using students, to destroy me as a vulnerable assistant professor (with 2 babies). Without PGR having my back and standing up to these monsters, I would have been destroyed

When/where can we measure the first learning induced changes in cortex? Check this one out to know. Wide-field imaging across dorsal neocortex in mice learning a texture discrimination task.

This zombie snail. A parasitic worm Leucochloridium has taken over its motor functions and eye stalks, making them into caterpillar mimics so birds will eat them. The worm can then reproduce in the bird's GI tract, eventually transmitting via its faeces 🤯

Via private messages, I heard so many sad stories of scientists who reported misconduct - and then got bullied or fired, and often left science. Meantime, the problematic papers and PIs are untouched. Similarities to the problem.
