Empty threats? Thousands of women are killed for less every year.
This is another infuriating example of cultural relativism in Canadian courts.

Quickest way to sow seeds of discontent and resentment is to enact a two tiered justice system, be it the rich getting away with a slap on the wrist, natives and black men getting harsher sentences or cultural differences reducing the charges. Justice should be blind.
And they usually aren’t empty threats in cases where ‘honour’ is at stake. This should hv been dealt with firmly and with consequences for the threatening parents.
It seems the courts think saving them from deportation is fine as the message threatening to kill your kids is not tolerated has been sent to the parents & people who think like them. Isn’t the message if you’re going to threaten your kids wait until you’ve gained citizenship?
Canada is positively naive and/or misguided. Mark my words, this is not the end of this story.....
Not all Canadians are asleep. Many of us are awake to these horrors. Yet we are labelled racists & islamophobic for mentioning it. Keep exposing. Why protect these parents after they utter death threats. It's not acceptable.
