My husband encountered many during his deployments who actually offered to let him sit In the back and eat small lunch when doing business with him. So I do understand there are different levels within the ideology.

Not to mention, non-Muslims are forced to eat & drink in private & restaurants are closed during daylight hours! Fascism extends to even non-believers!

Same in Dubai / UAE. Not only fascism but also extreme hypocrisy, knowing that so many locals, Saudi's etc drink in hotel bars and enjoy the company of nicely but often barely dressed women, often from Morocco and Nigeria who have let's say 'their meter running'.

I went to Qatar once for a week, no one mentioned it was Ramadan. They closed the expat bar in the hotel and at noon everyone left me working whilst they all buggered off to sleep. I went straight through to 10pm and couldn’t even get coffee. Barbaric.
