It agrees with their interpretations of Quran and Hadiths. And with their picking of scripture that is aligned with their value. I could reinterpret Islam and make it compatible with western values and claim that this is the real Islam.

That’s great. But we’re not talking about specifically YOU and we’re talking about right NOW. You sound like someone saying look, I don’t have cancer... also, one day cancer will probably be cured, so there’s no need to talk it.
You know as well as I do as well as anyone on the planet who would run in the other direction if they heard someone yell Allahu Akbar —that there are big problems in the religion of Islam that need addressing.
