Sunni Muslims (~90% of Muslims) are taught an obsessive, divinely ordained hate for Jews. This Hadith is just one example. The Quran and Hadith are full of teachings that are hateful towards Jews.

When travelling through two Arabic countries recently I suggested to my husband that we should not mention our visit to Israel. The hatred for Jews is undisguised in Muslim countries. Sadly, it is everywhere.
If your passport had a stamp from Israel, those Arab countries wouldn’t have even let you in. Did the Israelis stamp a piece of paper instead?
We are not against Jews we respect all religions specially Jews and Christians but what we don’t respect is the Israeli forces that kill children and force the original residents of palestine out of their own home..
The Quran and Hadith are full of teachings that denounce hatred towards Jews. Idk what you were taught growing up, but the Shariah states that Jews are Ahlul-Kitab (People of the Book) and deserve respect. Plenty of Hadiths reiterate this view -
When the Prophet ﷺ saw the funeral procession of a Jew passing by, he stood up out of respect. When some companions pointed out that the deceased was not Muslim, he rebuked them stating, “Is it not a human soul?” (Sahih Bukhari 1250).
