Hard to explain in detail (as its a touchy subject and this is Twitter) but if one *sincerely* believes in Islamist doctrines, they may conclude that the only way to be good in the world is through Jihad, the ends justifying the means. This is why ideology matters.
Thats exactly my point, Sarah.I was married to a Jihadi, so I have intimate understanding of a person being poisoned by an ideology to become a murderer. Humans are not generally innately evil-even Jihadis or Nazis.Ppl want clean black/white, good/bad, but the truth is, it’s gray

PS: I gave birth to his daughter and she is the kindest, most compassionate human being Ive ever met. She is an amazing young woman and she makes me proud to be her mom every single day. If he were innately evil, her DNA would be half evil, yet she does not own one speck of evil.

And no, Hinesh, I’m not far-right. I was far right when I was taught to hate gay ppl and Jews and anyone other than those in my tribe. Since leaving Islam, I’ve been a Green Party hippy, tbh
