While Iranian women are fighting against compulsory hijaab risking their lives and serving the jail term, I respect people's choice to wear what they want but USA/Canada had people calling hijab as 'women empowerment'. I am wondering what do they have to say about FGM.
Even FGM is defended as it can be considered religious. There really is no end to the atrocities that will be accepted if someone pulls out their religion card.
There are only two options either change the constitution or change the religion, whichever is easier and kills less number of people. Constitutions should accommodate only those practices which are not in conflict with the human rights.
