Well I'm an FDR Dem. I believe that if people want to practice their religion in this country peacefully with no oppression, they can do it.

I don't care what religion a person is, as long as they don't legislate it down my throat. That said, so far, the only people in the US that has done that have been Christian, not Muslim. I never see the same people complaining about Muslim attire bitching about Nuns habits.

Also there are Jewish sects where head covering is mandatory for women. Plus there are Christian sects where long hair and long skirts are mandatory. Or in the case of Amish/Mennonites, they also wear hair coverings in public. All based on Old Testement laws.

Why can't we just be against all of that shit? Any part of a religion that puts restrictions on women shouldn't be in the US. Period.

Exactly. Thank you. We would never celebrate any of those other things in a liberal women’s march or put them on Barbie. All of it should be treated w equal contempt.

Yes. If they are forced. If someone wants to wear those things, I see no reason why they can't. So long as they aren't forced. If someone wants to make a Barbie with a hijab or whatever, that's on them. It may be a stupid idea but it's their right to make it.

So, everyone should believe what YOU believe? Again....tell me how you pushing your belief system is ANY different from evangelicals shoving their religion down my throat?

All I'm against is the forcing of people to wear religious attire. If people want to march for hijabs, that's their right. Don't expect me to join in, but it's their right. I just hate it when any religion tries to force someone to do, wear, or be someone they don't want to.
