Well I'm an FDR Dem. I believe that if people want to practice their religion in this country peacefully with no oppression, they can do it.

I don't care what religion a person is, as long as they don't legislate it down my throat. That said, so far, the only people in the US that has done that have been Christian, not Muslim. I never see the same people complaining about Muslim attire bitching about Nuns habits.

No, Nuns don't wear their habits voluntarily. Some may not in public, but it depends on the church they're affiliated with. There are several here in town where street clothes are prohibited to nuns.

But were they forced to become nuns? Isn’t that something you enter into voluntarily as an adult...understanding the clothing restrictions?
