I’ve never heard the word either but I did hear two stories when studying Comparative Religions one where Mohamed was conflicted with referring to them as people of the book because how they separated good and evil, the other when Islamic invaders declared that religion invalid
Yes, and they prayed to fire, not Allah, so he didn’t consider them ppl of the book.

Actually Mohammed was conflicted with how they gave equal power to good and evil and never stated they prayed to fire. The Islamic invasion propaganda is what started that rumor of praying to fire with no basis to it other than they never bothered to learn about that religion
