I don’t think they shared out government income equally, so there were less schools resulting in a wider income disparity. The Pakistanis wanted dictatorship and the bangals wanted democracy. It wasn’t even a slight difference. It was massive.
That’s why what’s happening in Bangladesh is so heartbreaking. They were supposed to be the democratic/secular ones...but now bloggers are hacked to death in the streets. Avjit Roy’s widow spoke of this at a conference
