The problem has been over the centuries that 'moderates' have no effect, apart from giving numbers to the extremists. Moderate Nazi's didn't hold back Hitler, 'moderate' comminists didn't stop Stalin or Mao, even though the moderates made up more than 90% of the people involved
And the same is true for Muslims today. Ppl are ppl. As they say, the more things change, the more they stay the same...history repeats itself etc
