      Sure, but that doesn’t address my Qs. 1) Why would the US be worried about Russians infiltrating Islamic countries? 2) Let’s just say that it was the USs worry, then how would funding madrasas and mosques in the West solve it?

      Since Sunnis have allied w US, Shias have allied w Russia. The only way this strategy would make sense is if the US thought spreading Sunni Islam would prevent Shia Islam from growing. Seems like a risky plan, but at least it makes sense. Esp if they dont understand Wahhabi Islam

      Yes, it’s true, unfortunately. Their education system is very insular so they don’t know much about other countries unless an individual actively searches out the info. But I think things are definitely changing re education on Islam.

      Well, to be fair, this is the govts responsibility, not the ppl. There’s no excuse for their ignorance on the matter. They don’t have that luxury.
