      The hate crimes are a reaction (but not nearly as severe, of course) to the crimes perpetrated by Muslims across the planet. Instead of looking to blame media, Occam’s razor would indicate it’s more likely the rape and terrorism.       Well, that’s a very uncharitable reading. My point is: the crux of this issue is the violence in Islam, not Muslims being underrepresented in media.

      Foreign policy is a legitimate thing to blame for hate against the West. It does play a part. Read Radical by Maajid Nawaz or speak to jihadis, like I have. Citing underrepresentation in media as a reason for hate crimes against Muslims is stupid.
