Weird how nobody worries about how coverage of "Israel" and "Zionists" perpetuates antisemitism, which happens at a distinctly higher rate than Islamophobia

So many groups complain that they’re underrepresented in media, yet none of them are victims of hate crimes. In contrast, Jews are highly represented in media, yet they’re the #1 victims. The correlation she made is simply stupid.

To be fair however - no matter the realities of terrorism (and I certainly am willing to acknowledge that openly) - not one hate crime against an innocent Muslim is ever justifiable, and the blame lies squarely with the perpetrator of that crime.

Of course. But we need to acknowledge that the root of this problem is not that Muslims are underrepresented in media, it’s that Islam needs to be reformed or abandoned. You can’t find an answer if you refuse to look at the question.

I agree with you that the Muslim world must do better in so many ways, but a bit simplistic view on hate crimes. Do you believe blacks also need to just behave better so the police stop shooting them?

"In order to prevent further hate crimes and cases of discrimination like the ones we documented this year, we need to change the conversation we are having about the Muslim community." When Muslim men treat muslim women as equal, then there is hope.pic.twitter.com/lmMIA0LdbP

Typical poor us reporting. Everyone is against us when we are good citizens. Boohoo. Enough. Talk to your people, reject violence, and then we will listen. Spray pait and talk is not = 2 bombs, shootings, and rogue cars. No one has pity for killers.
