Let's give this equal time. The absence of women on either side of the table is the issue. It may be that the U.S. were respecting that Saudi's gender segregation was important, but that would be assuming too much on their behalf. It's very clear.
If that were true, that would be an even bigger atrocity. Why would ppl ‘respect’ misogyny and gender segregation? There’s nothing to be respected about it. It should be abhorred as it is abhorrent.
It should be respected as other cultures gave a different opinion on misogyny and gender segregation.
Human rights are a social construct so other countries will have different concepts of human rights.
