Christianity has gone through several big changes, I suppose the reformation and the translation (KJV) are the major ones I can think of, Muslims don’t like the idea of reform, that’s the problem.
Mostly because anyone who has tried to reform Islam in the past/present has been killed...so that’s a significant deterrent. However there is still a growing desire for reform.
