Patronising nonsense. Of course everyone knows that ideology is the problem. The Hitler Youth were brainwashed - it wasn’t a random genetic quirk that afflicted a generation of Germans. It’s warped ideology compounded by cultural non assimilation that people are worried about.

I’ve also used Nazis as a comparable example. I don’t think they were inherently evil either. Ive been attacked from the left for saying that about Nazis and from the right for saying that about Muslims. Good ppl are susceptible to, and victims of, bad ideologies.
