I think you’re right Yasmine. Some liberals are misinformed or scared of being labelled Islamophobic. However, there’s also a lot of “it’s the brown girl’s problem” which is then translated into “I do not wish to impose my western cultural values”.
Ya, that’s true too, unfortunately. I was the recepient of that. As Nick says in the documentary, it leads to brown girls in the West being ignored as they’re forced to endure atrocities that would never be acceptable if inflicted on a white girl...essentially, racism.

As I’ve always said to my women and minority friends, “beware the virtue signallers”. They’ll say anything in the moment to be accepted. The blunt speaking non-politically correct old man/woman is more likely to be your ally.
