That statement is only true for Shia Muslims (only around 10%) the other 90% (Sunnis) have always been political.

Exactly. The Muslim Brotherhood started around the 1920s —and before that there were other Islamic Caliphates all the way up to Abu Bakr in the 7th century.

Most victims are Muslim tbh but Imagine if ISIS said they were only going to kill non Muslims? Imagine the amount of foreign fighters they would've had then. It would have been a worldwide caliphate for real
