No group of people thinks the same thing about every issue. It's insulting when people talk about minority groups as if they are nothing more than voting blocks. There is diversity of thought within each group of people, and this fact is often ignored.

How can this be lost on them? This ridiculous ‘POC’ term -which, as far as I’m concerned, is no different than saying colored ppl- includes hundreds of different ethnicities and hundreds of different groups within each ethnicity-how could they think we all think the same??

I think they are. I think they see nothing but race/ethnicity when they look at someone, then they make a million assumptions about the individual. That’s the definition of racism. Judge not by the color of skin but by the content of character is a lesson that’s been forgotten.

It's similar to people who expect Jews, having been forced to live in exile for two thousand years, to maintain genetic homogeneity in the diaspora or else they do not qualify as "real Jews". I explain to them that is the very definition of racism.

As a friend of mine says, it’s like they want us to all be categorized perfectly in a zoo, oh look at the precious pandas, and oh...look at the adorable little Jews in their yarmulkes eating bagels. Precious.

The same ppl that harp on about "diversity" completely disregard the differences between all the varations under the catch all "PoC". Same with "White" - disregarding the difference in culture between say, the French and Polish. But it's "diverse". How about the individual?
