So they turn violent? I was born a few months after the fatwa on Salman Rushdie and the peaceful demonstrations, and hunger strikes that followed. What I do remember were the boycotts and well-argued editorials after the Danish cartoons and Charlie Hebdo. Oh, wait...

It's a choice, whether it's symbolic or not. Christians wear the cross for God's sake and it is a symbol of death!
