Sweetie, Iranians want to do peaceful protests. We will not resort to “burning” random scarves. We will fight till it’s a choice. We will not disrespect the Iranian women who desire to wear the scarf by burning it. We respect every woman’s decision. It’s what makes us, us

It’s symbolic of the bra-burning of the 60’s. Obviously that protest was not against women who chose to wear bras... Wear your hijab all you want. This has nothing to do w you. It’s is for the women of Iran who don’t want to wear it.

Iranian women used to be forced to not wear hijab, now they're forced to wear hijab. Meanwhile I'm Turkey they used to be able to wear hijab, now they're forced not to wear hijab. Ultimately this is insulting to a lot of women who have the opposite struggle, very insensitive
