Shias respect their Imams (humans alive today that make judgements based on our current world) whereas Sunnis only respect Mohammed and only refer to his teachings (which, of course, are 1400 yrs old and unchanging). So the wiggle room for thinking is more possible w Shias /2

#Iranians are leaving in droves because they’re experiencing ‘true Islam’ under Sharia, but they see it as an Arab invasion of their Persian ancestry whereas (Sunni) Arabs in Saudi, for example, are proud of Islam... /32 replies 6 retweets 25 likesShow this thread -
Shia Saudis, however, are a minority and treated badly, so that motivates them to question their second-class state. Sunni Muslims are fed a daily diet of supremacy ‘youre so lucky to be Muslim AND Arab, youre among the best, chosen, ppl etc’ so they’re less likely to question /4

It’s kind of sad/hilarious to see Saudi women so incredibly subjugated yet they will insist that they are Queens because they are told that. North Korea level brainwashing. They believe the propaganda vs looking objectively at their life.

Yes, very true. I’m responsible for taking care of my chihuahua too. I make sure he’s fed and warm and I buy him treats and cute clothes. Some women are fine w Chihuahua status. It’s definitely a reason why a lot of Western women convert.
