It's definitely a weird mixture of wanting to show some connection to Arabs and disliking them at the same time. I've seen it in my family and with family friends. Also, somehow thinking being Arab somehow makes one more pious and then complaining about the corruption of Arabs.

@dylanhead94 - Sorry to buttin but I can answer it. Muslims of India, Pakistan & Bangladesh (basically same ppl) form nearly 50-60% of total world Muslim population yet they get zero respect in so called "Muslim Ummah"..This actually fires them to be more radical. CONTINUED -

Just look at some facts. Arab Muslims, Iranian Muslims, Iraqis u name it. We have best relations with them.Even though we have nothing in common them. Yet we have worse relations with Pakistan, then Bangladesh & then our own 200+ Million Muslims even though we are actually same
