I support most of your initiatives and ideas, but associating with someone like Nomani, strong Trump supporter, makes no sense; Trumpism is the worse religious conservative, patriarcal nonsense, exactly the same you condemn in Islam.
@aliamjadrizvi identifies these very well.
Yes, I condemn it in Islam...yet I’m also ‘associating’ w a Muslim, @MaajidNawaz, in Australia and New Zealand. And so is Ali.
Condemning an ideology does not mean shunning its adherents.
It’s too bad you don’t support my choices, but I’ll find a way to survive. Thanks.

I thought I made myself clear, but I’ll reiterate. I disagree with Trumpism, yet I associate w Asra and other ppl who voted for Trump I disagree with Islam, yet I associate w Maajid and other ppl who follow Islam Both Asra and Maajid are Muslim Reformers. I support them both.
