  Yasmine, I don't know leftists in general, but I know that this "leftist" gets it, or tries to. I reposted on FB and TW at least a dozen of @ArminNavabi's videos from Iran, and I too hate it when the hijab is treated as "empowering." Don't generalize. "The Left" is many people.
