How do you have freedom of thought and conscience without freedom of religion? Religion IS thought. You might not agree with the expression of these ideas, but that is where FREEDOM comes in.

Secular countries usually have some form of "freedom of conscience" rights. That of course implies religious freedom within the confines of secular law. And this means religious freedom doesn't extend to overriding other's rights and freedoms.
