"The only way to tackle them is by giving them a taste of what they go through" Blood-lust much? In what world has responding to ideologically driven violence with more violence worked unless it's done to the extent of genocide. It's been working well with Israel / Palestine? /5

With Kashmir? Dismantling the ideas driving hate solves issues, not pulling out a bigger gun. /6

"Bring back capital punishment." I somehow doubt the dear Imam even understands why capital punishment is considered repugnant. But putting aside that idiotic idea Killing people that are looking to die is not likely to act as a deterrent. /7

I'll quote Khalid bin Walid, the conqueror of Persia and the 'Sword of Allah' "Submit to our orders and we shall leave you and your land in peace; else you shall suffer subjugation at the hands of a people who love death as you love life." /8

"Hang them by Cranes - I know we can't do it publicly" So the dear Imam actually wants to stoop to the barbarism of our enemies but is unable to do so... WOW /9

"He kills us and then with our money wants to employ a lawyer - how does that make sense?" We believe that everyone has the right to adequate representation. Again, simply because I think you're a dangerous & hateful hack shouldn't cause a suspension of your rights. /10

The reason the state provides counsel for those that can't provide it for themselves is to ensure justice and fairness. We are a society of laws. You may not believe in that , that's your problem and your loss. /11

"Hang him within the hour if he's on CCTV, check if he's drunk, obviously a Muslim doesn't drink." Yeah the 9/11 hijackers were Muslim AND drank. More importantly the Melbourne attacker seems to be mentally ill. /12

Not all crimes committed by Muslims are due to Islam - they're people that suffer from the same issues every other human being does as well. /13

"God very wise, made me a cleric, if he had made you a leader things would've been different." Agreed - you would've been leading ISIS or more probably Hezbollah, I don't see much of an ideological distance between you and them. /14

Well that’s a grand hyperbolic leap. I’ve known jihadis, and this statement is categorically unfair. Disagree w his opinions-sure. But defamation like this crosses the line. He’s strong in his convictions- as are you, as is ISIS, so I guess that means you’re all the same?

As have I - I have family members that have trained to be Jihadis and have fought in Afghanistan. The mindset of having blind but strong conviction, of literal dehumanization, of hanging opponents in public squares, of rejection of due process is exactly what they all share!
