Can't tell you how many JVP-type Jews excoriate me for pointing out this inconvenient truth, and start doubting the wisdom and impartiality of FBI statistics on this issue. Of course, if the FBI showed Islamophobia being number one, they'd say "See? Statistics!"
They’re number 1 in Canada and across Europe too. Not like the US is an anomaly. But I suppose all those governments are in on it too.

The one thing they do claim that has some merit - I guess 'islamophobia' incidents are more likely to be some kind of physical assault than in the case of an anti-semitic crime, which is more often racial slurs or defacement. But that might just mean pulling on a hijab.

I'm not so sure about that difference. Firebombing an empty mosque, as Pegida-types have been accused of, is less "physical" than then firebombing a synagoge full of people, as happened in Malmö last week.
