People need to realize things before they can truly grasp what it is they're defending or supporting. For example, a person won't truly understand why I have a problem with hell until they fully understand what it really is. They need to understand the pain felt in hell.

But when it comes to things like stoning and beheading I always suggest the person go watch it happen and think about the pain and what it is they're actually defending.
