Great point except the imaginary being part. Violence in the name of GOD is man/woman misunderstanding between adherence to the laws to better serve mankind and not beliefs and commitment to religions. Christianity/Judaism/Islam/etc does NOT equal GOD.

Atheism doesn't claim to make people better. Religion does. You can't rationally believe that removing a big, global cause of violence will not affect violence in total.
