Can I ask a question about this? Is this for anyone wanting to leave Islam in any direction or does it have an explicit path, e.g. from Islam to Atheism? Would a muslim who wanted to become Christian and needed support be welcome? They could face similar ostracism and doubts.
They could—and would—but they would likely get support from the church they want to join. Atheists would have nowhere to turn.

Thanks for the reply. In the age of the Internet, I think it's very possible someone might seek out moderate Christianity as a step away from Islam without having an actual Church to join near them. Wanting to leave Islam isn't always the same as no longer believing in God.
